How Does Mobile Squid® Work?

Mobile Squid® provides interactive event solutions that engage consumers in a meaningful and powerful way. The Mobile Squid® can be used for a variety of applications, including sporting events, street campaigns, sampling events, promotional events, festivals, and more.

Because consumers are inundated with traditional marketing mediums, Mobile Squid® offers a fresh approach to attract consumers' attention. The technology unobtrusively educates consumers about your brand and ensures subsequent brand exposure.

The Mobile Squid® Pack includes all elements needed for activation, including the branded Mobile Squid® Backpack, Squid Equipment (mobile computer, security system, and barcode scanner), Photo Equipment (photo camera or mobile phone), Battery Pack that allows 12+ hours of non-stop interactions and Picture Retrieval Cards.

The Mobile Squid® is fun and easy to use:

  1. Brand Ambassadors wear Mobile Squid® backpacks. These backpacks consist of all items needed to complete the Mobile Squid® activation.
  2. Brand Ambassadors engage consumers within a specified footprint by sharing information about your brand and offering to take photos of consumers. The mobility of the Mobile Squid® allows Brand Ambassadors to adapt to any space or venue.
  3. Brand Ambassadors take photos of consumers using a mobile phone or digital camera.
  4. A specially designed branded border is applied to the digital picture. This branded border extends your brand’s reach beyond the initial Mobile Squid® interaction, serving as a continual interaction between consumer and brand.
  5. As pictures are taken, they are instantly uploaded online.
  6. Consumers receive a retrieval card, directing them to a branded retrieval website, where participants can access their digital pictures.
  7. Participants can then download their event pictures from the branded retrieval site. As an added element, clients can choose to have consumers enter personal data prior to receiving their branded photo which provides useful reporting information.
  8. Consumers can even email their pictures to friends and family and publish to social networking websites like Facebook, creating a powerful viral component.
  9. The branded photos are shared, posted online, and seen by family and friends. This extends your brand’s reach beyond the initial interaction and consumer. Mobile Squid® creates a powerful brand experience.
  10. After the Mobile Squid® event, you’ll receive detailed reports with information regarding interactions, impressions, and number of retrieved photos.
